Our Philosophy

‘Before you enter the forest you must first learn the song of the birds’- West African Proverb

Through Years of Experience working in development in North West Africa, we began to observe several reoccuring issues with development projects. Often well meaning organizations pour enormous funding and energy into misguided projects that fail, or worse yet, leave behind even greater problems.

Knowledge of Population
We believe that in order to develop appropriate solutions to environmental and economic problems facing communities, you must intimately know the country and population with whom you are working, including: language, culture, history, habits, economic and educational situations, climate, and environment.

Our Team Works Hands on With Populations to teach the Theory, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Natural Waste Water Treatment Systems

Long Term Sustainability
Rather than spreading ourselves thin and covering numerous countries, regions, and neighborhoods that are unfamliar to our staff. We focus on fully developing long term projects in countries where our staff have had years of experience and have developed relationships with local public entities, organizations, and people. Thus these projects become communtiy projects serving the environmental, economic, and health needs of the community.
