This program involves three phases.

Phase 1:  Expression of water issues through artwork; achieved through an international poster contest with the theme ‘What Water Means in My Life’.  Nearly 800 students participated from 12 different countries.  Thirteen students’ posters were selected as winners from the following countries:  Ghana, India, Turkey, Indonesia, Philippines, and the United States.

Phase 2:  Use of the Posters to Increase Public Awareness of the world water crisis and the urgent need to preserve, conserve, and restore water resources.

Phase 3:  Community Water Resources Action Phase; which provides each of the winning students with the opportunity to identify a water resource related problem in their community, and design and implement a solution with technical and financial assistance from NVOC.  Click here for Action Projects.

Children from the Goodwill Social Work Center in Madurai, India sent incredible protrayals of 'What Water Means in Their Lives'

We believe that by providing students with the facts
about depleting water resources
and an avenue for exchanging ideas;
they will devleop awareness, solutions,

and becomes agents of change.
